Frontier Middle School Walkabout Day

August 6, 2025 (9am - 12pm and 3pm - 6pm)

Mark your calendars for our exciting Walkabout Day! It's the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with our school and all the fantastic things happening here. You will be able to:

Walk through your class schedule to feel prepared for the new year.
Learn about our 8th grade sports teams, engaging clubs, and exciting activities. Find your passion!
Stop by the PTSA table where you can connect with other parents and order some cool FMS Swag to show your school spirit.

School Supply Lists

Student Supplies & Chromebooks

Book Bags Allowed: Middle school students carry book bags to and from classes, just like high schoolers. This allows them to keep all their necessary supplies with them throughout the day.

Supply Lists:

Chromebooks: All middle school students will receive a Chromebook. Returning 7th and 8th graders should use their device from last year. New 6th graders and any new 7th or 8th graders to FMS will get theirs from teachers during the first week of school.

Device Insurance: The district offers an insurance program for your child’s Chromebook.

To participate in 8th-grade athletics, two essential documents must be completed and submitted before the first day of sports.

A Message From the Nurse

IMMUNIZATIONS

Per Missouri State Law, the Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap), as well as the Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4) are required for all incoming eighth graders.
You must provide proof of immunizations no later than the first day of school. Students without proper documentation of Tdap and MCV4 vaccinations will not be allowed to start school on August 18.

MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL

Medication drop-off must be done by appointment only. Please contact Nurse Alisha directly. Her information is provided below.
Parents are required to bring medication to school in properly labeled prescription bottles.
