As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible first half of the school year. From athletic triumphs to academic milestones, our students and staff have shown resilience, dedication, and a true sense of community.

Thanksgiving break is a wonderful time to recharge, spend time with loved ones, and express gratitude. Whether you're traveling or staying close to home, we wish you a safe and restful holiday. We look forward to returning refreshed and ready to finish the semester strong!

As you prepare to shop, please remember our Third Annual Christmas Vendor Fair on December 14th from 9 to 4 at the high school. We have over 75 vendors and Santa for pictures. There are some incredible booths, and each year, tons of them sell out. This is your time to support the businesses that support our schools all year.

It's a fun day for the family, or you can leave them at home and shop. Our theatre department also has a show that same night.

Ava Manley has made history as a vital member of the record-setting volleyball team that advanced to the regional finals this season. Her achievements on the court earned her Academic All-District, 1st Team All-District, and Defensive MVP honors. Ava's leadership extends beyond athletics—she is an active participant in HOSA and a dedicated leader at One Church. Her excellence in academics, extra-curriculars, and service inspires everyone around her. Congratulations, Ava, on being named Student of the Month- Your impact on our school and community does not go unnoticed!

Mrs. Kaycie Griffith has been a tremendous addition to Caddo Mills High School, bringing her math expertise to our campus through Algebra I and Dual-Credit College Algebra. She joined the high school last year and has seamlessly blended in, as if she's been part of the team for years. Known for her kindness, grace, and positive, can-do attitude, Mrs. Griffith is both a supportive colleague and a dedicated educator. Her caring nature and team-player spirit make her an invaluable member of our school community. Congratulations on being named Staff Member of the Month!

The following dates in December will be early dismissal:

• December 9th - 12:45 pm ***Buses will not run until 3:50 pm on this date.

• December 13th - 11:45 pm
• December 19th - 1:30 pm

Important reminder: The 6-week grade check is scheduled for November 22. Students who are passing all eight classes at this checkpoint will be able to regain eligibility for extracurricular activities beginning on December 6 at 4:00 pm. As a reminder, all students are eligible during the Thanksgiving break. Keep up the hard work as we approach this important date!

The District is unwavering in its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment for all its students. We understand that the use of illegal drugs poses a serious health and safety risk to the user, those associated with the user, and potentially to the public. Therefore, as a proactive measure to keep our students and schools drug-free, the District requires the random drug-testing of any student in grades 7-12 who chooses to participate in school-sponsored extracurricular activities or request a permit to park a vehicle on school property. Random drug testing is conducted throughout the school year.

Semester exams will begin on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Exemption information, along with an exam schedule, will be shared in December.
