I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Denise Liechty to our Ferson staff. Denise will be joining our Ferson Creek Team as part-time Administrative Support. She is a retired STC Principal, having led Corron Elementary for 8 years and Davis Primary for 9 years. Denise and I look forward partnering together to support our teachers, students, and families.

While there are a lot of familiar faces at Ferson, we also have a few new staff members that I would like to introduce.

• Cheryl Wiley is our new 10-month administrative assistant. She is returning to Ferson after being at Thompson for two years. We are so glad to have her back!
• Will Navis joins Mr. Khoury in our PE department. While Mr. Navis is new to Ferson, he is not new to D303. Welcome, Mr. Navis! We are so glad you are here!
• Siddhi Soni and Morgan Schneider are two new faces on our 1st grade team. Both of these staff members come with prior 1st grade experience and we are excited to have them at Ferson!
• Alexandria Breslin is our STEM teacher that is here two days per week, joining Mrs. Schaaf. We are thrilled that Mrs. Breslin is a member of our team.
• Amanda Smith is our Occupational Therapist on staff. She had the opportunity to meet some of our staff members and students at the end of last school year. We are so excited for her to join our us!

You will find a detailed description of our Arrival & Dismissal Procedures here. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with these procedures prior to the first day of school. Also, please remember that it takes a few days for us to become efficient in our routines. You can anticipate that dismissal will be slower and bus routes will be running late during the first week.

Please fill out this form to let us know how your child(ren) will get home from school each day. In the event that you need to make a change to a dismissal routine, even for a day, please notify the front office and your child's teacher.

On the first day of school, Kindergarten teachers will meet their students in the front foyer. 1st-5th grade students will meet their teachers on the back blacktop. Teachers will have signs so they are easily identifiable and staff members will be there to help students find their way!

All students are invited to drop off school supplies, meet classroom teachers, and get school pictures taken on Monday, August 12th from 4:00-6:00 pm. PTO is making this a true welcome event with Lincoln's Dogs hot dog cart, Kona Ice, a wonderful photo op, and spirit wear available for purchase. For any families new to Ferson, staff members will be offering guided tours of the building and will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

I encourage you to follow this schedule:

• 4:00-5:00 pm - Last names beginning with A - I
• 4:30-5:30 pm - Last names beginning with J - Q
• 5:00-6:00 pm - Last names beginning with R - Z

This should cut down on the crowds in classrooms, as well as congestion in our parking lot. However, please understand you are welcome to come anytime between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm if you have scheduling conflicts. If you are unable to attend, school supplies can be brought on the first day of school.

This year, Picture Day will take place during Welcome Back Day on Monday, August 12th from 4:00-6:00 pm. There will be an opportunity for retakes if you are unable to attend our welcome event. Click the link below to order your pictures.

Teacher assignments will be available on Wednesday, August 7th via Home Access Center (HAC).

In anticipation of finding out your child’s classroom teacher on August 7th, please make sure you are registered on the Home Access Center (HAC). If you previously registered, your login names and passwords have not changed, and you do not need to re-register. If you are new or have not previously registered you can set up your account following the steps on the pdf below.

Transportation route information for elementary school students will be available online before school starts. When available, parents may log in to the VersaTrans e-Link via the included site -

https://district.d303.org/tools/bus-routes using their Home Access Center (HAC) login credentials. When logging in, please do not check the Authenticate using Network Credentials box.
