Conservancy Kids

We are so excited to have you with us on this virtual journey of inquiry and place-based learning! Right now we may be social distancing, but we're all connected by the awesomeness of science. We're junior scientists, exploring the natural world, asking questions, and making discoveries. Join us for an adventure that will take you outdoors, around the house, and into the incredible Sonoran Desert. Welcome to Conservancy Kids! We're excited to see you!

All great scientists carry a field notebook with them—to write down the cool stuff they find so they can remember it later. Each person's notebook will look different. There's no right or wrong way to use your notebook. Some helpful information you can include are the date, drawings of what you see, text, maps, weather, and location. Put down anything that helps you remember what you saw and discovered. Let's make our own scientific notebook so we're ready to do science anywhere!

Scientists are really good at observing the world around them, asking questions about what they see, and investigating in order to understand things better. Now that you have your science notebook, let's investigate how water moves over difference surfaces and use what we see to help us understand water movement in the natural world.
