Winter Enrichment 2024-2025

Dedham Enrichment programs have been developed to provide students in each of our Elementary schools the opportunity to extend their school day, broaden their imaginations, explore the world around them in more detail or develop a deeper appreciation for the arts.

REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 20, 2024

Registration for all afterschool enrichment programs is conducted on a First Come, First Served basis until class limits are reached. Please note, classes with low enrollment may be cancelled and another choice or refund will be offered.

• Please print and complete the Winter Registration Form provided (at bottom of this email).
• Payment is due at the time of registration.
• Please attach your check to this form and return to your school's Main Office.
• If you have multiple students registering for programs, please complete a registration form for each student.

Timing: 8:00 - 8:30am - Avery Gym

Start your day with movement activities and games in the gym and kickstart your brain and body for a great day!

Grades: 1-5

Instructor: Joseph Colella

Timing: 3:00 - 4:00pm

Sign up for 2nd year of Chess/Game Club! Attendees will enjoy a fun environment to learn how to play different board games and practice social skills related to playing games with friends. Some games we have played in the past were Chess, Checkers or strategy card games. We will have a game for any age group that would like to attend.

Grades: 1-5

Timing: 3:00 - 4:00pm

Calling all creative thinkers! Do you like reading comics or making your own? Comics Club is the place for you. Join us as we make our own comics. We will develop new characters and scenes for them to explore and maybe even take over. Come prepared to draw, write, and most importantly, be creative. No artistic skills are required, but the more creativity you bring, the more fun we will have!

Grades: 3-5

Timing: 3:00 - 4:00pm

Lets ring, ring, ring together and continue Avery’s Bell Choir! On Thursday afternoons we will be working together by playing choir chimes to various tunes. In this group we will continue our music reading, teamwork, and musical fun by picking a tune and practice it. This session we will be the first of two where we will pick a tune and play it at the Spring Concert.
