COUNSELOR CORNER WITH "MS. JILL" HADLER
In February, we have been learning about ways to solve problems and think of solutions to problems that we face on a daily basis. We have learned to (1) Say the problem (2) Think of solutions (3) Act…if the problem is not solved, then we can try another solution. We even used career puzzles to help us learn about solving problems…by the way, our students are great at completing puzzles!!!
In our March and April counseling centers, we will be learning about ways to make and keep our friends. The focus of the first lesson is choosing friends and being kind. In our next lesson we will learn about working together and cooperation.

NEWS FROM THE NURSE
A BIG thank you to all of the parents for keeping your sick child/children home, so we can keep school going! Let’s keep up the good work!
Jackson R2 follows a 24 hour symptoms improving/resolution plan. If your child vomits, has diarrhea, or a fever, they need to have no vomiting/diarrhea/fever for a FULL 24 hours before returning to school. With a fever that means fever free for 24 hours with NO ibuprofen or acetaminophen given during that time.
- With seasonal allergies, flu, and cold season among us, it is harder to figure out what needs to be done. We feel you; Let’s continue to do our best! When in doubt, keep your child home until you know the symptoms are resolved for 24 hours (OR at least improving with symptoms like runny nose/sore throat). *Please note: If new symptoms appear or their symptoms worsen and do not improve with allergy medication then you may want to contact your healthcare provider for further instruction. Again, if vomiting/diarrhea/fever you MUST be 24 hours free regardless of a negative result.
- We could also use any extra pairs of clean pants sizes 3t-6x if you would be able to donate.
Thanks Everyone!
Theresa Stearns and Tosha Borgfield, Nurses
EARLY CHILDHOOD REMINDERS
- Just a reminder for parent drop off and pick up-make sure the bus lane is clear at all times. Please walk your child to the teachers at the door to ensure they get in the door safely!
- We will head outside to recess as much as possible during the winter months. Children tend to warm up fast on the playground and then shed all of their gear. Please label all of your child's clothing items, like hats, gloves, coats, etc.
- If you change your child’s normal mode of transportation for the day, please let the office know before 10:00 for AM students and 2:00 for PM students by calling the school office at 573-243-5347.
- Don't forget to check your EZ Child Track for fees for the following programs... Little Indians, Extended Day,, and After School Kid's Club! It's easy to forget to make these payments. You can check Infinite Campus for Lunch and Breakfast balances They are due by the 1st of the month, and a late fee is charged after the 10th. Thank you for keeping up to date with payments!
- A special ask as well...We could also use any extra pairs of clean pants sizes 3t-6x if you would be able to donate we are currently running low on any extras! Thank you!
