Summer reading is the key to keeping your child’s literacy skills sharp and in practice. This summer your child is required to read the following titles. Your child can read it on their own or make it a family affair and read it together. Have discussions and spend this quality time immersed in the story. All books can be purchased online, at a local bookstore, or checked out from your local library. Each class will be completing activities related to this book at the beginning of next school year.

Just as summer reading is important to continue the development of literacy skills, summer math practice is critical to support the retention of the math skills learned this school year. All students entering 1st – 8th grade will be receiving suggested math practice for the summer months. This will be coming home at the end of the school year. Be on the lookout for math skills practice!

Want to keep your student’s skills fresh this summer? We’ve compiled a list of tutors and camps that may be a great option for your child!

The school office will be open throughout the summer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 9am-2pm. The office will be closed on Mondays and Fridays.

Angei Varona, the school’s Spanish Speaking Liaison, hours in June will be from 9am-12pm. Ms. Varona will be out of the country beginning June 6 through June 20 and will be returning to the school office on June 25.
