Dolphin News You Can Use

Principal's Message
Hello Dickinson Families!
As we approach the holiday season, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. We hope you enjoy this special time of year with your loved ones and make wonderful memories together.
As we prepare to welcome the new year, we kindly remind you to check in with your child or their teacher to ensure they have all the supplies they’ll need for a successful start in January. A quick restock on essentials like pencils, notebooks, and other classroom items can go a long way in supporting their learning. This is a friendly reminder to ensure your child has a pair of headphones or earbuds for school. This was part of the school supply list from the beginning of the year. These are essential for using computers in class and help support their learning.
During the holiday, if you want to keep their learning going please feel free to have your students log into Class Link to do some online learning. Congratulations to our second grade students for completing the most Progress Learning lessons over the Thanksgiving break. They will be rewarded with extra recess one day this week. We are so proud of the hard work our students have put in this semester, and we look forward to seeing their growth and achievements continue in 2025.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright, happy new year!
Warm Regards,
Channon Almendarez

Please be sure you come through the front office to get a raptor badge on your way in or get it pre-printed before your child's celebration day. Thank you!

Dickinson Elementary has an amazing reputation for partnering with our parents and community to serve our students in a multitude of ways. It's important to review and update the volunteer application regularly to ensure it meets current safety standards and legal requirements. This process helps to create a safe and supportive environment for both volunteers and the children they interact with.
If you completed this task last year, you received a message via e-mail like this sample:

The culture of Dickinson Elementary includes a partnership with our community. Last year, our parents volunteered hundreds of hours to support our students and staff. We value our partnership as together we educate our dolphins. This year all volunteers are required to register as a volunteer. This includes PTO Board Members, work room volunteers, Watch Dog Dad volunteers, room parents, field day volunteers, library volunteers, and the list continues! Please visit this website to begin the process:
