Dear Families,

Part of the Leader in Me program is following the 5 core paradigms. One of these paradigms is Everyone has genius. We are talking with the children about identifying their genius. What is it that makes them special? What is their special gift to this world? As I interact with your beautiful children, I see students who are inclusive, funny, determined, athletic, creative, joyful, thoughtful, responsible, and kind. Thank you for taking a moment to name and/or help your child name their genius.

TKS Restaurant Night: A huge thanks to all the families that supported our TKS restaurant night this past Thursday, September 12th. Sales were $1528.40 ...so the school will be receiving $764.20 back!!!

BIRTHDAY TREATS: Families, please help us to adhere to our district policy regarding celebrating birthdays with cupcakes or other treats. We know that many families want to send in treats to celebrate, but our school policy states that families are not permitted to send in food treats for birthdays. If you want to celebrate a birthday, please consider ways other than food - like donating a book or ball - for the classroom. Classroom parties need to follow nutritional guidelines from Poway Unified. We love celebrating your children, so work with your teacher on different opportunities to celebrate! Thank you for understanding.
