Thank you!
Sid and I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for making our first year at HMS amazing! We truly enjoyed getting to know you and your kids every day. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you who connected with us, gave us feedback, shared positive words of encouragement and cheered us all along the way. We had an amazing year with lots of positive outcomes and experiences for kids. We also had some really difficult moments this year. We appreciate the grace you gave us as we navigated our way through those issues. It takes all of us working together to achieve a successful year, and we believe we did!
We are thankful to all of you for this opportunity to serve you and our Hockinson Community. Thank you for sharing your kids with us every day. They are the reason why we are here and the reason why we feel like we get to come to work everyday.
Have a wonderful summer break! We look forward to seeing our 6th & 7th graders next year and we wish our 8th graders success as they transition to Hockinson High School.
With kindness,
BC & SS

Fall Sports, Reminders...
All fall athletes MUST have a current physical on file before they can tryout or participate. If your child wants to participate in fall sports, please consider getting this taken care of in the summer. Oftentimes, it is difficult to get a physical in August because so many families waited too long and appointment slots are full. We will share out more information in August.
*Dates & times are subject to change
Attention Incoming 8th Grade Families
Are you interested in being part of the 8th grade parent committee next year? If so, there will be an informal meeting with interested parents on Thursday, June 20th at 6:30pm in the commons.
Incoming 7th Grade Families...
Dear Parent or Guardian:
Tdap is a booster vaccine which continues to protect your child against the tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis diseases they were immunized against as young children. In Washington State, a Tdap vaccine is required for students attending school in 7th through 12th grades.
If your child is entering 7th grade in the next school year, this requirement must be met.\
Documentation of the Tdap vaccine or an exemption must be turned in before your child can start 7th grade on August 28, 2024.
If we do not receive documentation by due date above, by law, we must send you a Notice of Exclusion for Immunization Noncompliance. This will explain that your child cannot attend school until you provide the required immunization documentation, RCW 28A.210.120. Valid documentation includes medical records showing vaccination or a completed Certificate of Exemption (COE) form.
Where do I get more information? Where do I get forms?
For more information about immunization requirements, including links to the forms mentioned above, visit https://www.doh.wa.gov/SCCI.
