Please consider the following rules/suggestions:
We're so excited to offer this opportunity to the Class of 2025! This tradition has always been a special part of the senior experience for many of our students.
Any SENIOR student may participate on Saturday, September 7th to paint the 6’x6’' square in their purchased parking spot of the CHS Senior Lot.
Remember that you MUST also pay the bookkeeper AND submit the Parking Permit Application form BEFORE August 23rd. ALL painting must take place on Saturday, September 7th between 6AM and 2PM.
Students will check-in with ASB prior to painting to confirm their spot. No changing of spots will be allowed without approval from the Activities Director.
It is recommended you bring an easy-up/form of shade and plenty of water. It will most likely be hot!
1. Paint protocol
Paint ONLY in the white 6’x6’ square provided.
Recommended paint:
Exterior Acrylic or Latex flat paint (Lowes & Home Depot have paint on hand ready for purchase).
NO OIL OR SPRAY PAINT ALLOWED. Spray paint cans are not allowed on campus and will be confiscated.
A Clear Coat over your final painted spot is not required but is recommended to help the paint last longer.
Do Not paint the white curb, your spot number or the cement posts. Only the 6’x6’ square.
Spots must be school-appropriate. No profanity or vulgar comments/images will be allowed. CHS Administration and ASB reserves the right to ask for you to change or paint over anything that might be deemed inappropriate. If the area is not fixed within 24 hours of the request, the spot will be painted over and the Student will lose the privilege of painting their spot. Spots that have profanity or vulgar images that violate school rules will be subject to disciplinary action.
No painting shall be done before the 9/7 date.
Extra paint must be taken home or donated to ASB. Paint cannot be thrown in trash cans.
Please clean up all of your own trash and supplies.
2. Helpful Tips/Suggestions
Bring lots of water. It will be hot in the parking lot!
Have a stencil of your artwork.
Bring tape to help with straight lines.
Share paint with a friend or family member!
Donate any extra paint! A tarp will be out for any donations.
Bring a canopy to give yourself shade - towels to sit or kneel on while you’re painting - Bring helpers!
3. Students are required to bring their own paint and painting supplies. We recommend using outdoor house paint. Each spot begins with a white background - light colors will get dirty.
4. The lot will ONLY be open from 6AM - 2PM on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th for painting. All painting must be completed by the end of the day. Do not paint before our designated day.
5. Participants MUST have paid the bookkeeper & filled out the Parking Permit Application by August 23rd in order to paint.
