Together We Thrive ~ A Message from Dr. Pick
Hello Bobcats! This year we are all about protecting our instructional time because we know that every minute a student is actively engaged in the classroom, is one step closer to achieving success in our school improvement goals:
- For the 2024-25 school year, Buffett Middle will demonstrate a 2% increase in the number of students who are missing fewer than nine (9) days of school.
- For the 2024-25 school year, Buffett Middle students will meet or exceed growth goals in MAP math and reading by 3% from Fall 2024 to Spring 2025.
- For the 2024-25 school year, Buffett Middle will decrease events of classroom disruption and insubordination from 40% to 37% or less.
As we continue to transition back into the swing of school, we encourage our parents/guardians at home to ensure our students are dressed for success each morning. We have been seeing a lot of dress code infractions the past two weeks and our leadership team will soon begin to address them. Please take a look at the Buffett Middle Handbook to gain a better understanding of what our Buffett expectations are so we can all do our best to keep our kids in class. Thank you for your time and attention to this!

We have a busy week ahead, so check out the opportunities for your Bobcats on the Athletic and Activities calendar linked below.
Hot Temps. Cool Treats.
Monday was scorching hot in Omaha, so we decided to cool off our amazing bus drivers with fresh watermelon, a cooling cloth, and some gatorade. Thank you to our bus drivers who get our Bobcats back and forth each day safely.
Students Visit the Library
Students visited the library over the last couple of weeks during their ELA classes. Ms. Campbell taught them how to find and check out books.
