Vision affects a child's success in life. Did you know that 80% of all learning is through the visual system, and decreased vision can significantly affect educational success, athletic ability and even social interaction? Countless children are receiving poor grades simply because they cannot see the blackboard; causing them to lose a desire to learn, and even stunting their social skills. While most parents recognize the value of routine dental care, they often underestimate the importance of testing a child's vision. Schedule your eye exam today!

Our school is happy to announce our upcoming participation in the 2023 Active Schools Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to encourage physical activity and allow Genesee County Schools the opportunity to take part in some “healthy” competition. The Challenge runs March 1st – March 24th. The schools that win the challenge by being the most active will be awarded a monetary donation that can be used towards health and wellness programs for our school. Students that reach the goal of an average of 30 minutes of physical activity per day are also eligible for prizes such as gift cards, bowling passes, movie tickets, and more!
Please encourage your child to track their physical activity both in and out of the classroom on their tracking sheet each week during March. All results will be anonymous and names of students are only utilized to distribute prizes through our school. We appreciate your support for this challenge.
