We are in the final stretch of the school year. Georgia Milestones End of Grade and End of Course Tests will begin later this month. Parents please encourage your child to give their best efforts. Although Georgia Milestones are not the only factor in determining promotion and retention it is considered. MSS will offer summer school. More information will be provided about summer school at a later time.
Attendance and protecting instructional time is still a focus. We are using the PBIS Rewards system to reward students for weekly perfect attendance, for not losing instructional time due to attendance, sleeping, behavior, etc. We are also rewarding students through the PBIS Rewards system for making progress on their attendance recovery plans. Additionally we are using our Mentor Monday sessions to teach/reteach desired behaviors. It is our hopes that this skills will benefit our students beyond the classroom.

Tickets will be available at the door - $5 for adults and FREE for students.
Safety remains one of our top priorities. Parents as a reminder every person who enters the building will be required to clear the metal detectors. This is not a new practice just a reminder of our safety protocol.
Please remind your child of the dress code policy. Students are not allowed to wear hood/hoodies on their heads while in the building. Additionally, we are experiencing an increase in incidents of students vaping. Please talk to your child about the catastrophic consequences vaping could have on their health. We will follow the code of conduct as it relate to tobacco use on school grounds.
