We’re expanding our hours!

Beginning after Labor Day, the Library will remain open until 8:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will also no longer close for lunch on Saturdays. Whether you need to check out a book, type a paper on the computer, or book the Community Room, you’ll have a few more hours available to get everything done.

It’s autumn, and that means many of our classes and events are back from summer break. See the full schedule below for the return of Book Club, Tinker Tots, Food for Thoughts, and more. Of course Storytime continues, as does Writers Group and Knit and Crochet Drop-In. There are many opportunities to visit us and learn something new, so don’t hesitate. Come on in!

We are excited to announce that we are extending our Browsing Hours on Wednesday and Thursday!

We are now open for browsing Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 10AM - 6PM. Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10AM - 8PM, and Saturday we are open from 10AM - 4PM. We are no longer closed for lunch on Saturdays (yippee!).

Curbside hours remain constant every day, Monday through Saturday, from 10AM until 5PM. Please email us at curbside.bcld@gmail.com or give us a call and let us know what we can gather for you. We'll arrange a time to pick up for contactless delivery.

We will be closed all day on September 4th for Labor Day. We will reopen with our regular hours on Tuesday, September 5th.

We have something very special available for the first time this September, a limited edition library card designed by Dagny Tang! These cards will become available today, September 1st, and will be available while supply lasts. To acquire this limited edition card make a donation of $5 (or more) to the Friends of the Library!

The Department of Natural Resources alongside libraries across Larimer County are excited to present the Discover Pack. This pack is designed to make the parks and open spaces of Larimer County accessible to everyone. Visitors of Larimer County can check out these packs from Larimer County Natural Resources offices and libraries across the county for free. Individuals who check out the packs can keep them for up to seven days and go discover Larimer County's parks and open spaces.

What's inside the Discover Pack?

• Larimer County Parks and Open Spaces At-A-Glance Guide (Map) and Regulations Guide
• Wildflower Guide

Join us for Sunshine Storytime on Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:30AM. There will be no storytime on September 20th and 22nd.

Tinker Tots is designed for 3-6 year old children & their grown ups. We do an experiment and talk about science concepts. On the 7th we will be making ice cream. This class will be outside on the 7th.

Registration is required.

Let's play at the library! Musical Moments is especially designed for preschool children. Stop by every other Friday at 4PM to learn, play, and sing at the Berthoud Community Library.

September's Musical Moments dates are the 8th and 22nd.

Participants will create their own "Martian" using craft materials and UV beads. They will explore how UV radiation from the sun can affect living things, comparing conditions on Earth & Mars.

Kids ages 7-12 are invited to Yoga with Miss Christy on September 29th at 4PM. There will be games and songs!

Construct & Concoct is a drop-in craft event for tweens & teens. Our September project will involve sewing.

Drop-in from 4-6PM on Thursday, September 14th.

Join us as we free-write, critique, and hone our craft together.

All genres of writing welcome. We meet every Monday (except for Labor Day) from 10:30AM to 11:45AM.

Food for Thoughts is back!

Join us for a locally-sourced breakfast on September 15th at 8AM as we discuss topics important to our community. This month’s topic is “Habitat for Humanity”. Registration is Required.

Berthoud Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Tiffany Brodie will join us to answer questions about Berthoud's Habitat Chapter.

Horsetooth District Manager Lt. Stephen J. Gibson and his colleague Ranger Hannah Beam will join us to discuss what they do on September 21st at 6PM.

Registration is required.

Our monthly Knit & Crochet Drop-in will meet on Friday the 22nd of September from 1-3PM instead of 1-4PM now.

This is not a class, just a place for fellow crafters to meet and knit/crochet together. This is a drop-in event.

Due to some scheduling changes at the library starting in September, we are moving book club meetings to the 4th WEDNESDAY of each month, with the usual exception of combining November & December to one meeting in early December. The times 1:30pm and 6:30pm will remain the same.
