Principal's Message
We officially welcome the month of June, and are fast approaching the end of another incredible school year! This month is always one of my favorites as it is filled with celebrations, final learning moments, and exciting plans for the summer ahead.
We’re so proud of our students’ growth and accomplishments this year, and we’re grateful for your continued partnership and support. As we wrap up these final days, please make note of the important end-of-year dates listed below. These include our Bobcat Best celebrations, school end of year parties, Graduations and more!
Looking ahead, we know many of you are beginning to plan for summer. We’re excited to share a variety of camps and grade level learning opportunities to keep your child engaged and growing during the summer months!

Bobcat Best Celebrations
We are eager to come together and once again celebrate our students who have earned the Bobcat BEST designation for their achievements and growth to end the school year.
If your child will be receiving an award, you will receive an invitation soon! The dates are listed below for your convenience as we continue to plan for these celebrations.
- Pre-K- Monday, June 9- 9:30 AM (with graduation)
- Kindergarten- Monday, June 9- 2:00 PM (with graduation)
- Grade 1- Wednesday, June 4- 9:30 AM
- Grade 2- Wednesday, June 4- 2:30 PM
- Grade 3- Thursday, June 5- 9:30 AM
- Grade 4- Thursday, June 5- 2:30 PM
- Grade 5- Friday, June 6- 9:45 AM
FCPS Now Accepting Pre-K Applications
Applications for all residents of Frederick County are now open for students who will be 3, or 4 years old by September 1, 2025. For information about income eligibility criteria and programs offered, please visit our website at https://www.fcps.org/ece/pre-k-application
Families may apply online via the enrollment portal. Click here for English or click here for Spanish. Those unable to complete an online application may download an official FCPS enrollment form and return via PreKEnrollment@fcps.org. Enrollment Form Template: English | Spanish. Please ensure all applications contain proof of residency, proof of birth, and proof of Total Household Income.
Important EOY Volunteer Information
We will end our school year with grade level parties. Each classroom has selected two party parents to support these celebrations. These party parents must complete the volunteer training below. If you have any questions, reach out to your child's teacher.
Volunteers must:
Complete two (2) required training modules through Unified Talent and register via the Volunteer Center using these Detailed Directions.
The training modules must be completed before registering at the Volunteer Center.
Approval may take up to 72 hours prior to event.
Upon arrival, they must present valid identification and undergo a Raptor screening.
