This E-Blast is full of school news and school-related community announcements that are not building specific. All announcements that interest families of multiple schools are published here, allowing each individual school to focus their e-blasts on announcements that are specific to their families only.

Please email any submissions to All_SchoolsNews@WaylandPS.Org no later than end of day on Friday for distribution on the following Wednesday. All Schools News is published every other week during the summer.

Please join us for the Winter Student Art Exhibit at Wayland High School starting Monday, December 16, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Commons. The Wayland High School Orchestra Concert will begin at 7:00pm in the Auditorium. Free and open to the public.

WSCP is offering classes designed to inspire, engage, and support children beyond the school day. This season, WSCP is offering a variety of creative, STEM-focused, and skill-building activities tailored for students in grades K-5.

This winter, the Boston Ability Center will be hostincommunity groups for neurodivergent tweens and teens! The vision of this group is to provide a neurodiversity affirming alternative to traditional social skills groups, enabling youth to meet peers in a setting focused on fun and friendship. This winter, we'll be doing a series of Nintendo Switch video game nights as well as a movie and crafting night. If you have individuals in mind that you believe could benefit from a group like this, please help spread the word!

Spanish Storytime and Craft. Spanish vocabulary sheets will be provided to help learn new words! Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to attend with their caregivers.

The Junior Class is hosting a Christmas tree pickup fundraiser! We will be picking up trees and bringing them to the dump on January 4th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A big THANK YOU to Lynch Landscaping for generously donating their time to assist us

Please join us for a Jazz Brunch Fundraiser at Bullfinchs Restaurant in Sudbury on January 5, 10:30am- 1:30pm. This event features WSH Honors Jazz Ensemble and String Quartet and will include a silent auction.

Help restock the shelves at My Bothers Table for the winter holiday by donating shelf stable foods. Donation bins are located at WMS, WHS, Wayland Public Library and Middlesex School

Free peer tutoring is offered all school year by qualified Wayland High School students through the Wayland Tutoring Club. International Human Rights Day is Tuesday, December 10, 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the Large Hearing Room at the Wayland Town Building. to honor International Human Rights Day. Community members, adults and students, will take turns reading aloud the Articles (1-2 sentences apiece) of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights that established the modern human rights movement. Participants will also have an opportunity to create a ‘Hands for Human Rights’ wreath for display. RSVP or send your questions to chair_hrdeic@wayland.ma.us

2025 Registration Is Now Open. Registration for grades 1-8 is open now through the end of January. Kindergarten and pre-K registration coming soon.

This program has focuses on the whole player and teamwork as well as character and skill development. Select teams offer players an additional competitive opportunity to take their lacrosse skills to the next level. The season begins in late February and continues through the beginning of June.
