I hope you've had a great weekend. We are excited about the upcoming week and all the great events ahead for us. Please take a few minutes to review the contents of this newsletter. Feel free to call or email if you have any questions.

• After-school tutoring continues this week. Please see the detailed information below. It's important to sign up your student each week. This helps us plan accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions.

• We will be hosting our first dance of the year this Friday. The dance is a costume dance and will start at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm. Please help us by reminding students of the following expectations: no masks, no face paint, no accessories, and all costumes must be school appropriate. Students must be at school to be able to attend the dance. Tickets prior to the dance will be $5 and available before and after school, in between classes, and during lunch in the office. Tickets will be $10 at the door of the dance.

• Please see the information below about our upcoming celebrations for Veterans Day. If you plan on attending, please complete the link below the graphic.

• We have several opportunities for students. Please be sure to check out all of the graphics at the bottom of the newsletter, and let us know if you have any questions.

• Picture retake day is coming up this week. Please be sure to read the details below. Pictures can be purchased online using the code in the graphic below.

• We have our annual Fall Festival coming up in November. We'd love to have you join us as a vendor. If you're interested, please see the graphic and Google form below.

• If you need any support or assistance with the parent portal, please complete the form included below. Mrs. McClain or Ms. Drury will call you to help with your questions.

• Please don't forget to have your child charge his or her Chromebook each night before school. This is especially important on Sunday evenings. Thank you!

Fall Dance - Friday, October 25th 5:00-7:00 pm. Students must be at school to attend the dance. No outside guests are allowed. Tickets before the dance are $5. Tickets purchased at the dance are $10.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - October 30th starting at 12:00 pm and ending at 7:00 pm. No appointments will be necessary. Please see additional details below regarding Parent/Teacher conferences.

After-school tutoring takes place each week Monday - Thursday. Please be sure to read the following information regarding tutoring. If you have any questions, please give us a call, and we will be happy to help you. Thank you!

Please be sure to complete this form each week. Tutoring is open to all students, but we want to make sure that you’re aware of the following points:

• Transportation will not be provided; therefore, students will need their own transportation.

• Tutoring will take place Monday-Thursday after school until 4:30 pm.

• Students who stay for tutoring will be assigned to a specific classroom.

• Students who sign up for tutoring will stay on those days only. Parents/Guardians will receive confirmation calls on the first day of the week to confirm tutoring for the week based on the information provided to us via the Google form. We will not plan for students to stay for tutoring until we've received confirmation.

• To attend tutoring, parents/guardians will sign up their child(ren) at the start of each week.

• It is strongly recommended that students attend tutoring who currently have more than 2 Fs in a core (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) class, 3 or more missing assignments, and/or who are working on maintaining eligibility for athletic participation. Tutoring is also valuable time to receive extra help in specific classes.

Please take a few minutes to complete the form below if you would like your child(ren) to stay for tutoring this week (October 21st - 24th). For your convenience, this tutoring form will be shared each week on the newsletter. Feel free to call or email if you have any questions.

Please help us by reminding your child about the importance of school attendance. Missing just two days a week adds up quickly and creates a situation where students fall behind in their learning. If there is anything we can do to help support you, please let us know. We track student attendance and will communicate with families if a student's attendance falls below 90%.

Senn-Thomas is hosting a Fall Festival again this year for everyone in the community!

Stop in our gym to see the vendors and knock out your holiday shopping while supporting small businesses.

Bring the family to play video games, board games, carnival games, book fair, and take in a movie with some yummy snacks!

This is a free event for all individuals in the community. We will be taking canned food donations at the door if anyone wants to contribute to our drive.

Be sure to save the date for this fun filled event!!
