Support Your PTA

We would like to wrap up our Fall for Ross fundraising drive by November 1, but currently we're only 38% of the way to our goal of raising $50,000. We need your help! We've raised almost $19K so far with donations from 22 families. But by this time last year, we had raised over $37K with donations from 57 families. If you haven't donated yet, please make your contribution this weekend.

We're asking all Ross families to consider giving at least $50/month ($600 annually) to help the PTA continue to fund operational expenses at Ross and support our community. If $600 isn't possible for your family, please contribute what you can. Everything helps!

The PTA uses funding to:

• Offset Ross's operational expenses, enabling Principal Searl to invest more of Ross's DCPS budget in staffing,
• Host community-building events, and
• Fund teacher and staff appreciation activities.

The Ross PTA needs to raise $155K annually to fund our school and ongoing programs.

Most of the funds raised are used to offset Ross’s operational and program expenses, so that Principal Searl can invest more of Ross's DCPS budget in staffing.

PTA Funding for Ross Operations includes:

• Ross Operations & Maintenance Supplies (e.g. cleaning supplies, paper, tissues, etc.)
• Curricular Supplies & Materials
• Classroom Supplies
• Staff Professional Development
• Field Trip Expenses
• School Technology
• And more...

PTA Funding for Community Events includes support for annual events we love:

• Back-to-School Picnic
• Halloween Spooktacular
• Holiday Festival
• Bingo Night
• Participation in the Pride Parade
• End-of-Year Picnic

This year, PTA Funding for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Activities includes:

• Catered lunches for teachers several times throughout the year (PD week, conference days)
• A Ross sweatshirt for every teacher and staff member
• Coffee and donuts on 9/25 to recognize their dedication from 9-to-5 every day!
• November Gratitude Breakfast
• Catered meals, coffee, and a happy hour during Teacher Appreciation Week in May
• Decorations and furnishings for the teachers' lounge
