Expand your knowledge by reading and attending events all summer long. Everyone is welcome!
All events are free, and you don't need a library card to attend. Check back in late May for the full calendar of Summer Reading events. The Sonoma County Library offers thousands of free, fun, and educational events for all ages all year long. Check out our Calendar of Events.

Music News
Bravo again to all the student musicians who played their final performance at their school assembly last week! I am so proud of the hard work and practice that went into learning their instrument (including voice!) and their music! Additionally, I want to thank the creative and courageous students who volunteered to choreograph and perform original moves in our chorus song "Welcome to Wonderland." Your creativity truly made this song a joy to listen to and to watch.
Please make sure all music students have returned their instrument and their book (violin/clarinet/trumpet) to Mrs. Kaufman as soon as possible, if they have not already done so.
If your child will be in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade next year, please stay tuned for music signup information in August! Also, if your current 6th grader will be attending Mark West Charter in the fall, we offer a strings elective class where students can learn the violin, viola, cello, or double bass. No prior experience needed if they begin in the first quarter!
Thank you all for a wonderful year of music! As always, if any parents are interested in supporting the music program in our district, please consider joining us at our next Mark West Education Foundation meeting on Tuesday, June 4 from 5-6pm at the District Office Learning Center. We'd love to see you there!
