Hexagonal Thinking
BES/BIS LINC students explored characteristics of giftedness and then made connections with their classmates through hexagonal thinking activities! Hexagonal thinking is a method for considering the connections between ideas. It promotes discussion and critical thinking in an engaging way!
Habitat Research
BES/BIS LINC students researched habitats. They applied their research by creating entries for the Wise County Soil and Water Conservation District poster contest. They can't wait to share their completed products with you later!
STRIVE in 2025
BES/BIS LINC students began 2025 by formulating ideas about what they would like to STRIVE for in the new year! Students listed goals and items that begin with each letter in the word STRIVE.
Some examples include:
S - Stay strong
T - Teamwork
R - Responsibility
I - Inspire
V - Visit other places
E - Eat healthy
Multiple Projects
The BMS LINC Elective students have been working on several projects in class! They continue to make progress on their book about Bridgeport, but they took a break from authoring in order to complete their essay and poster entries for the Wise County Soil and Water Conservation District contest. The students are currently creating their Rubber Band Invention Contest entries. Book writing will resume after those inventions are finished. As you can see, the students are learning skills such as time management and organization while juggling multiple projects simultaneously!
