New This Week
Weekly RHS Newsletters
Last week, we announced and congratulated those students who have made the Summa Cum Laude list for the Class of 2025. We wanted to give them time to share the news with family and friends before publishing the student's names. Please take a few minutes to learn more about our Summa Cum Laude students: RHS Newsletter - Summa Cum Laude Edition
This week we've had many individuals come and visit Romeo High School to learn about our Academy model and see everything we are accomplishing. Please take a few minutes to learn more about how the visits went with Governor Whitmer and Scotland Educators: RHS Newsletter - 3.21.25
9GA Building
The 9th grade Academy is currently undergoing its first stage of construction on the East side of the building. The Academy will be getting a new band, choir, science labs and locker rooms. Classrooms that were disrupted have been moved to new locations. Instructional time will not be impacted during construction and all safety protocols, as always, will be adhered to.

Dual Enrollment Information
RHS and 9GA Students interested in Dual Enrollment for the 2025-26 School Year should carefully review our Dual Enrollment Presentation (Dual Enrollment PDF Version Link). After reviewing the presentation, students still interested in dual enrollment for next year should submit this google form by March 12 to indicate interest and receive an invitation to a student meeting that will be held during the school day that will provide additional guidance regarding the dual enrollment process.
2025-2026 FAFSA Form
The 2025-26 FAFSA is open. All current seniors planning to attend college should be working with their parents/guardians to complete this online application. The FAFSA form connects students to various forms of Federal and State financial aid programs. FAFSA is required for most State of Michigan financial aid programs, including the Michigan Achievement Scholarship. For example, students who complete the FAFSA will have access to free community college tuition through Michigan’s Community College Guarantee, which has no income criteria. Students can complete the FAFSA at StudentAid.gov. For additional information about the FAFSA, please visit our FAFSA resources page. The state of Michigan also offers helpful online presentations that families may register for.

Class of 2025 - Summa Cum Laude Dinner
As we've shared previously, starting with the class of 2025, Romeo High School will begin using a cum laude honors recognition system for graduates of Romeo High School. This system would allow for more recognition for our top students and a recognition system more consistent with universities and other top high schools. Check out the Parent Letter - Cum Laude Recognition for more information.
For our students graduating summa cum laude (GPA of 4.0 or higher), our original plan was to honor these students at a Summa Cum Laude Breakfast (similar to our past Top 10 Breakfasts). However, due to the hard work and dedication of our Class of 2025, we have over 40 students graduating with this honor and we feel this is too big for a breakfast. So, instead of a Summa Cum Laude Breakfast, we will now celebrate and honor these students with a Summa Cum Laude Dinner. Moving this event to after school hours will allow more parents, teachers, and staff to attend (plus, we'll get a great dinner provided by our Culinary Arts students).
The 2025 Summa Cum Laude Dinner will be on May 14 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the RHS main commons. This is the same night as the Scholarship & Honors Night, so we will move the Scholarship & Honors Night to 7:30 PM. We chose to hold both events on the same night so that we didn't add "one more night" to the schedules of our seniors and parents (we know May and June are already so busy for you).
Students graduating Summa Cum Laude were contacted today! We will have a special edition newsletter early next week announcing these students.
Class of 2025 - Scholarship & Honors Night Time Change
As you read above, we will be honoring our students graduating Summa Cum Laude with a dinner on the same night as the Scholarship & Honors Night. For this reason, the Scholarship & Honors Night will now begin at 7:30 PM in the RHS gymnasium. All calendars (electronic, website, and printable) have been updated.
