Here is some important information:
- Students will participate in a Digital Readiness Test on October 9th during period 3 to familiarize themselves with the program.
- After the Digital Readiness Test, students will have an individualized access code to access practice exams in the Bluebook™ application on their Chromebook.
- Students should turn off and charge their devices the night before the Digital Readiness Test on October 9th and the actual exam on October 16th.
- On October 16th, students must be at school at 7:30AM and bring with them:
- Fully-charged school-issued device and charger.
- Pen or pencil for use on school-provided scratch paper.
- Optional Calculator - Bluebook™ has a built-in calculator, but students are allowed to use their own. Please see the list of acceptable calculators.
- Students who have been approved for extended time by the College Board should bring a snack to the exam, as well.
- Please read these PSAT/NMSQT FAQs for more information.
Strategic Plan Focus
#What's in the Water? In Mr. DeBellis' class, living environment students gathered local water samples to search for life! See pics here.
#Eye Catching! Mrs. Dallow's Studio Art students finished their black and white ink designs where they focused on line pattern and dynamic composition. Watch for these and more hanging in the front lobby soon!! See pics here.
#QFT in Seminar: Mrs. Rachiele used the question formulation technique in her AP Seminar class. It was used to assist groups in identifying a driving question to focus on during a joint writing task. See pics here.
#Questioning the Questions: Mrs. Slattery's and Mrs. Hyland's AP Lang students employed QFT to engage deeply with "Marita's Bargain" in Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers. By generating and transforming questions, the class collaboratively selected key inquiries for a Socratic Seminar.
#Can Robots Play? This week robotics students finished their first build: Clawbots that play soccer! See pics here.
