End Of School Year
The school year's almost over,
And It's been a special year!
Soon we won't have class together,
Summer break is growing near,
We've worked hard together,
I am so proud of all you've done.
We got to know each other,
And we've had a lot of fun!
After this year's over,
I hope you get some rest.
But most of all, I hope you know-
Having YOU in class has been the best!!

Our Busy Programs🌄
EARLY CHILDCARE PROGRAM 🪑
It is hard to believe that we have so little time left in the school year. Our goal in the Early Childhood Program was to continue to work hard and be prepared. We have been busy with hands-on opportunities for our students to continue to learn and engage with. To begin the month of April, Judy Segrest from Mesa County Workforce was invited in to share with our program about the scope and sequence of education for Early Childhood, along with all the amazing scholarships available to continue their education beyond their CDA certificate.
Our students were able to engage with children at Mini Mavericks, Little Mavericks, and Centro de la Familia. The purpose of the engagement was for our students to observe all ages and stages of growth. The observation supports awareness of a child's development, skills, interests, strengths and play. To close up the month of April, our ECP students were taken on a field trip to Pomona Elementary to have hands-on experience with children for Pomona’s Exploratory Days. Exploratory Days are activities that include learning experiences for the children to use their senses. Some of the many activities that were there were making bath bombs, slime, homemade ice cream, water rockets, football, 4-H animal petting zoo, dash robots, and musical instruments. Our students have gained real-world classroom experience while working with students. It is immensely encouraging to see the positive activities that our Early Childhood Program students have been a part of this month!
CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY 🚧
The construction students have been busy this year. Whether it's installing benches around the GVT pick up stations, starting on the new house which is now under construction, or learning in the shop building sheds, dog houses and chicken coops. It is winding down to the end of the year and we have some great deals on dog houses and chicken coops. Call 970-254-6000 if interested in purchasing an item or for more information.
HEALTH SCIENCE PROGRAM 🩺
