25 - 26 Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration has begun. Please see the flyer below and help spread the word if you know of families with Kindergarten age students. Registration packets are available online and at Perley Integrated Preschool. Shannon Tenney, Georgetown Early Childhood Coordinator, is facilitating the Kindergarten Registration and Screening process. We will be screening all incoming kindergarten students in the spring before Kindergarten starts instead of the first two days of school this year. This will allow us to best prepare to welcome our youngest learners to Penn Brook in the Fall. We appreciate your help spreading the word and registering early.
Arrival and Dismissal
Please make sure to follow the dismissal and arrival procedures. Only families dropping off or picking up Kindergarten students and their siblings should be parking in the lots. If you are driving onto campus and picking up a student 1st grade through 6th grade you must drive through the car line. We have noticed students walking in the parking lot unaccompanied by an adult. This is very dangerous as it is hard for people driving cars to see students. With snow piles on the ground we want to ensure that all cars, buses and pedestrians are able to safely arrive and exit the school grounds. We greatly appreciate your assistance and patience as we know that it takes time to safely move students during arrival and dismissal.
Toys and Favorite Items from Home
We discourage students from bringing toys, fidgets and important items from home to school unless the teacher has requested these items. These home items can lead to distractions from learning, peer to peer conflict, and issues if they are lost or broken. We do not allow students to trade or give other items from home to each other at school or on the bus. If a student must bring these items for a before or after school reason please remind your child to keep it in their backpack. We appreciate your partnership.
Breakfast and Lunch at Penn Brook
Breakfast will be grab and go style. Students will pick up their breakfast if they choose in the cafeteria in the morning and then go to their classroom.
