Weekly School Update
Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our basketball charity event, Pack The Place, sponsored by our own Student Council to support the 100 Club of Illinois. The highlight of the evening was an exciting game between our very own eighth-grade teams and the courageous members of the Police and Fire departments. The energy in the gymnasium rallied the eighth grade players late in the fourth quarter to a victory! Not to be outdone, our Cheer Squad took center stage at halftime stealing the show, and our pep band had their debut performance knocking it out of the park. This event was a true testament to the spirit of unity throughout our school community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved and look forward to more unforgettable moments in the future!
Speaking of future events, please join us next Thursday or Friday evening at 7:30pm for our annual school musical, Finding Nemo Jr.! Please find ticket sales and other information below.

We Need Your Help!
From March 11-22, the Shepard Learning Commons is hosting a book drive to support the incredible work of Bernie's Book Bank. This local organization provides books to children living in under-resourced communities throughout the Chicagoland area. Your donations of books for PreK - grade 6 will not only help children gain access to books at home, but also boost their literacy skills and promote curiosity. Collection bins will be located in the front foyer of Shepard and between the entrance doors to our Learning Commons. Before donating your books, please be sure to read through the guidelines to learn about the types of books Bernie's accepts. If you have any questions, please reach out to Shepard's library information specialist, Mrs. Andrea Trudeau, at atrudeau@dps109.org. Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause!
