Even though I may not like or have control over this situation, I DO HAVE CONTROL OVER:
MY ACTIONS: I am in control of how I behave, how I treat others, and how I treat myself.
One helpful action I can take now is...
MY WORDS: I am in control of what I say, how I say it, and how honest and truthful I am.
Something helpful I can say now is...
MY THOUGHTS: I am in control of my opinions, beliefs, what I think and how I think about something.
A helpful thought I can have right now is...
MY RESPONSE: I am in control of how I choose to respond to a situation.
A helpful way to respond to this situation is...
HOW I RELATE TO MY FEELINGS: I am in control of how I take care of my feelings, and which coping tools I use.
A kind way to take care of my feelings is to...
DEALING WITH MISTAKES: I am in control of what I do after I make a mistake, like whether or not I learn from it, try again, and/or make repairs.
Something I can do after making this mistake is...
ASKING FOR HELP: I am in control of from whom I ask for support and when I ask for help.
Someone who I can ask for help from is...
MY EFFORT: I am in control of how much effort, focus, and energy I put into accomplishing something.
One way I can focus and put forth effort into accomplishing my goal is to...
Hello folks and welcome to another edition of Dorm Happenings here on the campus of KSB. On Sunday after a meal prepared by dorm staff the small group of students had open gym and game time at the recreation gym with Mr. Larry Rhodes.
On Monday the students were flying kites and riding bikes around campus and playing outside on the playground.
On Tuesday the dorm students traveled to the Big 4 bridge for a walk across the Ohio river and enjoying the beautiful weather and watching the gentle flow of the river and discussing the history of the old railroad bridge.
On Wednesday the dorm outing was a on campus adventure with music and watching the big screen and discussing a possible dance we would possibly be attempting to do as a group.
On Thursday the elementary students went on a trip to the bowling alley and ate pizza while the middle and high school groups were busy at the recreation gym making and eating Icees and watching the Big Screen TV and playing pool.
It has been a busy week with lots of good things going at the dorm and want to remind everyone of the upcoming audible egg hunt on campus Sunday March 23rd from 5-7.
We wish everyone a fun and safe weekend and look forward to seeing everyone next week.
Until Next Time.
Audible Egg Hunt

This event is open to all blind and low vision children birth to grade twelve and their families.
