Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day! Come along this Thursday!
Meet us at 7:30 a.m. at Hancock Park this Thursday for a celebration of the courage and spirit of Ruby Bridges, the first Black child to enter an all-white school in the South in 1960. We are grateful to live in a time when all children can attend a public school, no matter their race, color or national origin. Come celebrate this pioneer of civil rights.
Is your child bringing cough medication to school? Please know what's allowed and what's not
Please know that students aren't able to carry cough syrup and medicated cough drops on their own at school, per MESD policy. If the cough drops say 'drug facts' on the back they are considered a medication. Some cough drops will say 'nutrition facts' or 'supplement facts'- these are not considered medication and students can carry them. Please call our Student Health Assistant, Nurse Jen if you have any questions.
Paperless Report Cards Are Coming! Are you on ParentVue yet?
We shared with you last month of the district's move to paperless Report Cards as a way to reduce waste as well as cost in alignment with PPS’s Climate Justice policy. At Lee we have decided to print Fall report cards in order to give our community a chance to transition to ParentVue platform before the Winter report cards come out.
You will need to access ParentVue from the web or an app on your smartphone. Please find more details here: https://www.pps.net/parentvue.
Our school office can help you get a code for you to register.
If you already have access to ParentVue, please complete the survey below so we can reduce the number of report cards we print out this fall. Thank you so much for helping us with this effort. https://forms.gle/wKREuhtUsry5r8u17
