Middle School Update
Middle School Tenacity Challenge
We are so very proud of our middle school students who participated in the "Middle School Tenacity Challenge Competition on March 16th. The competition consisted of four events centered around the theme of leadership, empowerment and tenacity.
We were excited to offer the LIT ( Love, Inclusion and Trust) program, a series of workshops and discussions for middle and high school students that aim to highlight identity development, student leadership, build self-confidence, and provide advocacy skills. This was offered to both Boston and resident students. The was to provide them with a safe space to build relationships amongst their peers as we continue to strengthen the Walpole School Community.
The program was held at the middle schools from 2:35-3:30 pm and at the high school from 2:10-3:00 pm on designated days.
Walpole High School Update
Walpole METCO & Friends Bowling Event
Walpole METCO hosted a Walpole & Friends Elementary Bowling event at Kings in Dedham. The event allowed for students and families in the METCO program and resident students and families to gather outside of the school to bowl, eat, communicate and interact with each other . With the hopes of them developing organic relationships that will last a lifetime. This event serves as the stepping stone towards bridging the gap between communities. Over 70 students and families attended the event. Special thanks to Boston Bridges Initiative for supporting this wonderful event.
