During the week of February 3rd, students at P.J. Jacobs will be taking the FastBridge screener, mySAEBRS during their Social Studies courses. This screener consists of a 20 item rating scale that students complete about their social, academic, and emotional behaviors. It is grounded in a conceptual model which states that school success is predicted not just upon academic achievement, but also success within multiple inter-related behavioral domains. If you wish to opt your student out of this assessment, please contact Jennifer Knecht at jknecht@pointschools.net.

Attention Parents/Guardians and Students: You may notice some schedule changes for second semester on your student's schedule. Changes are being made in an effort to balance class sizes. Final schedules for second semester will be given to students on January 28th, 2025. Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.

• All PJ students will receive 2025-26 registration materials the week of January 13.
• Come to the Electives Showcase to learn about course offerings and classes you can choose to take next school year!
• Current 9th graders: the Incoming Sophomore Elective Showcase will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. throughout SPASH, prior to the Incoming Sophomore Parent Night from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the SPASH Auditorium.
• Current 6th, 7th & 8th graders: the PJ’s electives showcase will be held in classrooms throughout PJ’s on Monday, January 13 from 5:30 p.m - 7:30 p.m.
• Current 8th graders: the 9th grade orientation meeting for 8th grade students and their parents/guardians will be held in the cafeteria from 7:15 - 7:45 p.m on the same night.
• Current 7th graders: the 8th grade orientation meeting for 7th grade students and their parents/guardians will be held in the cafeteria from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. on the same night.

Today 8th grade students received an Academic and Career Plan lesson from our School Counselors, Ms. Lora Schultz and Ms. Julia Her-Khang. They reviewed Career Clusters/Pathways, reviewed strengths, interests, and preferences, and then started discussing High School Graduation Requirements. This is the first step of 8th Grade Conferencing and begins the registration process to be Freshmen next year!
