Dear HUUSD Community,
It is a privilege to serve as the HUUSD’s superintendent and have the opportunity to work with truly remarkable young people. While watching each student being awarded their diploma this past Saturday, I was reminded that over 1600 students walk through the doors of our schools each day. Regardless of their background, they all look to our school staff for hope and encouragement. Knowing the importance of our public school mission, we believe it is our foremost responsibility to provide the best support possible for every child in this community.
Last Saturday’s HUHS graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 was the culmination of 13 years of hard work for our students. It is also the byproduct of the tireless efforts of all of our Harwood educators, support staff, and administrators. During the ceremony, the student speakers recounted highlights of their school years, reflected on lifelong friendships, and also commented on the support they received from their families. Each student who walked across the stage to receive a Harwood diploma is a remarkable individual with individual strengths and endless possibilities for a successful future. We are incredibly proud of this class and wish them all the best as they enter this new chapter of their lives.
