Student Government Day
State Representative Joe McGonagle visited Everett High School (EHS) on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, to present students Milena Antonio and Kolleen Fritz with citations for representing EHS during Student Government Day. The students are pictured above with (L-R) EHS Principal Dennis Lynch, Superintendent William D. Hart, social studies teacher and Student Government Advisor Carolyn MacWilliam, and Rep. McGonagle. Milena and Kolleen received Senate citations from Senator Sal DiDomenico during Student Government Day, which was held on April 4th at the State House.

Veterans Luncheon at Everett High School
The Everett High School Culinary Arts Department and the Crimson Cafe hosted a luncheon for veterans on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. It was the first in a monthly luncheon series launched by Director of Veterans Affairs Antoine Coleman to honor our veterans and connect them to the community. Teen Perspectives on Immigration
Three Everett High School (EHS) students were honored by the Immigrant Learning Center (ILC) for their entries in the 2025 Teen Perspectives on Immigration Contest, in which students from Everett, Malden, and Medford high schools are asked to express their viewpoints and experiences through essays, artworks, and video projects. The students were recognized during an awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, inside Everett High’s Crimson Cafe.
Samira Khobzy’s striking watercolor, “What We Share” (above, right), received third-place honors in the art category, while Shashi Pokhrel (“Keeping My Heritage") and Natalia Tejada (“Proud to Say”) earned Honorable Mention awards for their essays.
The ILC is a Malden-based not-for-profit organization that gives immigrants a voice through education, research, and community outreach.

Cradles to Crayons
A big shout-out to Whittier School students for collecting clothes for a Cradles to Crayons Clothing Drive. The Whittier collected four large bags of clothes that Assistant Principal Dr. Brendan Kent delivered to Cradles to Crayons, an organization that provides free clothing and essential items to children 12 and under.
