New Field ES Weekly Updates
Week 11: November 4-8, 2024
First Quarter Report Card Conferences are Monday, 11/4 (no school for students)
Dear New Field Families,
On Monday, November 4 we are excited to meet with you and discuss your child's progress. First quarter report card conferences are Monday, November 4 between 11:00 - 2:00 and 3:00 - 6:00 PM. There is no school for students on Monday.
Here are some question you may wish to ask your child's teacher:
- What are my child's strengths and areas for growth?
- How does my child foster relationships within the classroom with both their teachers and peers?
- Does my child work to the best of their ability?
- Is my child on track to meet grade level expectations?
- How can I best support my child outside of school?
- Is there anything I can share with you about how my child interacts at home?
Wishing you a successful and collaborative conference day.
Warmly,
Mrs. Conrey Callahan
Principal, New Field ES

New Field Students Learn About Día de los Muertos with Ms. Lopez
GoCPS is the process where families can apply to out-of-area and specialty schools in CPS.
Chicago Public Schools is home to more than 470 elementary schools that offer a wide variety of program options to meet the academic interests and needs of students. Families have the option to either attend the programs in their neighborhood school or apply to attend any elementary school in the city.
VERY IMPORTANT: All Preschool families that resides OUTSIDE of New Field's attendance boundaries must apply through GoCPS, and receive an offer through GoCPS in the Spring, in order to maintain enrollment at New Field. Please check in with your child's PK teacher for questions about the GoCPS process.
