Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols
Gratitude to all who joined us at our Lessons and Carols gathering! It was a joy to immerse ourselves in God's presence, offer prayers, contemplate the Bible's narratives of Christ's birth, and joyously sing carols. A heartfelt thank you to our talented teacher, Krista Welle and Elizabeth Yellen, ACA Director of Campaigns & Stewardship for guiding us in song.
Special appreciation extends to Fr. John Mitchell for his piano accompaniment, Rob Hahn, director of communications, for his trumpet tunes, Megan Duevel, our former finance director, and Ben Justin, Data and Assessment Coordinator, for their euphonium melodies. We also express thanks to Mrs. Yarbrough, our K-5 Science and MS ELA teacher, for leading our prayers and our Student Council students, Cain Franco, Paul Thermistol, and Natu Daniel, for reading the scriptures. A final tribute to Mary Beane, our dedicated school office manager, who orchestrated the program, and Andrea Mathison and Belginy Lopez who worked through the details of the event.
The event is available for viewing on YouTube—take a moment to enjoy the Christmas carols and may they bring blessings by clicking on the button below. Let's cherish the reminder that Jesus is not just the reason for the season but the reason for every day in our lives.

7th Grade Christmas Play! 🎭
The 7th-grade students performed "Operation Grinch," a self-produced play that reimagines the classic story with a modern twist. The plot centers around Sam and Maddie, two siblings who, dressed as the Grinch, attempt to steal Christmas gifts from their spoiled friends to teach them a lesson about gratitude. Through their actions, the students are confronted by their families and ultimately learn a valuable lesson themselves about love, compassion, and the true spirit of Christmas.
The play emphasizes the importance of appreciating what we have, understanding the needs of others, and celebrating the deeper meanings of the holiday season. It highlights themes of empathy, community, and the transformative power of selflessness, culminating in the characters' collective effort to support a friend in need, embodying the true essence of giving. This creative performance served as both entertainment and a thoughtful reflection on holiday values.
A special thank you to Miss Lopez, our Peace Maker and student council adviser, as well as Mrs. Yarbrough for supervising and participating in the play. Their guidance and support made this production a memorable experience for everyone involved!
