Review the Talking Points and Presentation
4 Key Asks
1. The Role of Family and Consumer Sciences within CTE
We are asking for Family and Consumer Sciences to be listed as a cluster or at the least a cross-cutting cluster and as a method for providing career-ready practices.
2. Lack of Visibility of Key Industries
We are asking for inclusion of the above careers into the main graphic and separation of health and human services into the more industry reflected clusters of Health Science and Human Sciences.
3. The Language of Related Fields and Specialties
Health and Human Services
· Separate into two clusters: Health Sciences and Human Sciences
Hospitality and Events changes to Hospitality and Tourism
· Events is a very narrow term for a much larger industry
· Travel and leisure is clearly identified in industry as Tourism
· Accommodations is identified in industry as Lodging
4. Clear understanding of Research and Data Approach
We are asking for the research model and data utilized to determine inclusion of a cluster.
