Mr. Smith's Message
2nd and 5th Grade High Ability Screening
Dear Parents/Guardians of second and fifth grade students: We need additional information on the academic needs and performance of individual students in order to provide instruction at the appropriate level for each child. All second and fifth grade students will take a standardized test to begin to collect this information. The testing will take place in September and is the first step in our high ability screening. If you have any questions regarding testing, please contact Kim Jovic at: kjovic@perryschools.org.
There are lots of Community Events and groups information below. Please scroll down. :-)
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Smith, Principal

Assessment Update
The Indiana Department of Education is piloting three checkpoints for Grades 3-8 to make a new through the year assessment which will be required for all students to take next year. Perry Township opted into the pilot in order to help give input into this new assessment. We will take the first ILEARN checkpoint starting in October after fall intersession. The checkpoint system will take the place of Evaluate, which we took in prior years for the same purpose of informing instruction throughout the year. You will be informed of your student’s results after each testing window through ParentSquare. For more information about the ILEARN Checkpoints, please click this link to view a family letter for your student’s grade level. All of your student’s state and district test scores are located in Skyward under Test Scores.
