We are excited to launch a Homework Help Club, starting next Wednesday, September 18. Students who participate will receive adult guidance in completing homework assignments. All participants must turn in completed permission slip, attached below, and will require parent pick-up at 3:30pm.

In science class, our 7th Graders participated in a chicken wing lab as part of our Cells and Systems Unit. Through this investigation, the students were able to figure out that skin is attached to the muscle and the muscle is attached to bones. They discovered that all of these parts must work together in order to move. Here are some pictures from Mrs. Maldonado's class.

We will begin vision screenings September 24th during picture day for all students. Please make sure students come to school with glasses if they have them.

Reminder to parents:

6th grade: physicals are mandatory and due (they can be dated 7/2023 or later)

7th grade: Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines are past due. Immunization are mandated in the state of Pennsylvania to attend school.

If your child requires medication during school, it must be dropped off by a parent or guardian to the school in its original packaging with pharmacy label. Also the medication administration form must be completed and signed by the parent and medical provider.

This week, the AGMS PTO, with other parent organizations, teachers and staff participated in a session to discuss the creation of an updated Red Devil mascot costume! The district will be considering a few different designs based on participants’ feedback prior to the creation. Stay tuned for updates on the process as the school year goes on!

Thank you for all who participate in Hangry Bear’s “No Cook Night!” We raised close to $250 and had a blast kicking off the first week of school.

Thank you for all who participated in our spirit wear sale. The sale is now closed and items will be distributed next month to students‘ homeroom. There will be a second sale in March.
