DIRECTOR'S NOTES
MUSIC PASS-OFFS ARE COMING SOON!
By this point in the summer all members should have most of part 1 memorized. Music will be passed off on the first day of summer band (July 29th). Fight Song, Alma Mater, National Anthem, and Fillie Entry will also be passed off from memory.

Private Lessons
Lessons are available for all members of the band program. Please go to https://www.grapevinehsband.com/private-lessons.html and set up lessons if you have not already.
The Grapevine High School Band has over 90% of the program enrolled in private lessons. It is such an important part of our student's musical development!
Instrument Check Out Coming Soon
Students using a school owned instrument will pay their rental fees during Mustang Round Up. School owned instruments are $100 per instrument, per semester. Percussion will be assessed $200 for the fall and $100 for the spring.
Letter Jacket Fitting Date
SSR Letter Jackets will be handing the GHS order for letter jackets this year. They will be at GHS to fit students during all lunches on Wednesday, August 21st. They will also make arrangements for makeups. If you have lettered in band, you will have a chance to order and receive your letter jacket before the weather gets cold.

PASSPORT REMINDER
If you are traveling with us to Ireland be sure to double check your passport! It can take weeks or months to have one made or to have one renewed!
BOOSTER NOTES
KICK OFF DINNER, AUCTION, AND BAND REGISTRATION
Our first event of the season is coming up on Saturday, July 27!
Get your tickets now for the Mustang Band Kick-Off Dinner & Auction!
This event is a dinner and auction where our goal is to raise $30,000 for the band program. With your ticket you will get dinner from Costa Vida and performances by the drumline, color guard and band leadership team.
You will also complete your band registration at this event! Your student will pick up their Juguzzi water bottle, spirit shirts, and you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for Band Boosters, volunteer within our organization, and purchase yard signs.
We will also have an auction with a ton of amazing items for you to bid on! We are planning that all band families will attend this event. It is vital to our season that this event is successful!
We also will be taking our band group photo in our spirit shirts this evening for the football program! Students will take photos in their shirts they receive at registration, so it is mandatory that all students attend this event.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased at https://my.cheddarup.com/c/2024-mustang-band-kick-off/items?cart . Ticket prices will increase on July 1st to $30 for adults and $15 for students, so don’t miss out on getting your ticket before the price goes up!
The event will be in the GHS Student Activity Center from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. We can't wait to see you there!

Students/Parents should login and update their CHARMS information. This is our primary form of communication, and it is important to have accurate information. As we graduate students into the next grade, please verify that your school and grade are correct. Charms is not an option to make a band payment.
