The Conroe ISD Science Department would like our students and the entire District community to safely enjoy the Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th.

Our teachers have been provided handheld solar eclipse viewers to safely observe the eclipse. Each grade has a plan to closely supervise during the outdoor viewing activities to prevent students from accidentally looking at the sun without proper eye protection.

We have been provided resources to take advantage of this special opportunity and are looking forward to experiencing this special day with our students.

The eclipse will last from 12:41 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the Conroe area will experience a deep partial eclipse (close to 96%). The most spectacular time of the day will be from 1:30 to 1:50 p.m., reaching mid-eclipse at 1:40 p.m.

Our artists are hard at work at making their paper mâché ice cream, donuts, blasts, cupcakes and Starbucks! But we are still in need of a few items for next week! Please help us if you can!

The referral window for Summer Testing is now open. This referral window is for students who missed the testing window at the beginning of the year.

Kinder-8th will test Tuesday, May 28-Thursday, May 30 at Bush Elementary from 8:00am - 11:00am.

Conroe ISD will collect public feedback on instructional materials offered for adoption in Proclamation 2024. Community members are welcome to visit the Conroe ISD Instructional Materials webpage for a listing of publishers, materials, and information on how to access each for review. The information will be available from December 4, 2023 – April 5, 2024. Proclamation 2024 calls for instructional materials for Science K-12, Technology Applications K-8, Career and Technology Education courses, and Personal Financial Literacy and Economics. • Do not drop students off on the front porch unattended before 7:15 am.
• Do not park along White Oak Blvd at any time. Our parking lot is small so guests can use the Church of Christ parking lot (1860 Longmire Rd) to park and walk through the pathway to our campus.
