A HUGE thank you to our PTA Stock the Lounge and Conference dinner chairs and to all of the families that donated items for us to enjoy during parent-teacher conferences! We are so grateful for your support and for keeping us well fed!

It has been a long time since we had Halloween on a Monday! If you have not already reviewed the Halloween A to Z please take a few minutes to do so. Halloween A to Z

Students Returning to Classrooms - End of Day

We have seen an increase in the number of students who are forgetting items in their classroom and are coming back into the building after 3:35 asking to go to their classrooms. We will only allow a student to return to their classroom if we call and the teacher is still in the classroom. If the teacher is not in the room, the child will need to get the item the next day.

Trading Cards/Items from Home

We have seen an increase in students bringing items from home specifically Pokemon or similar trading cards. As a reminder, students are not allowed to bring any items from home. Students that have these items will be asked to put them in their backpacks to take home.

ABC25 Membership - Encouraged to Join!

Olive is currently at 19%, needing only 38 more households to join to meet the 25% goal.

Why Join? ABC/25 stands for A Better Community for District 25. The mission of the Foundation is “To foster innovation, creativity, and excellence for the children of District 25.” By joining, you support District 25 schools and teachers with funds for innovative, creative, and excellence experiences for your students. Over 50% of the Foundation's grant money comes from membership dues. Once a school reaches 25% membership (including families and staff), that school gets an additional $2500! We are currently offering a raffle for members that join by the end of October to win a ride to school by the Arlington Heights Police Department. Also new this year is a STEM interactive assembly event that will be free for members ($10 for non-members).

ABC25 Get Burbed T-shirt Contest

Let your imagination run (pun intended) wild! All D25 students have the opportunity to submit a design for the ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge official race shirt and posters! These shirts will be worn by over 500 participants at the ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge on April 15, 2023. The design winner also gets to help select the color of the shirt! Official rules and regulations and t-shirt design forms can be found at abc25challenge.org/tshirt. Submissions are due back to your school office by December 2, 2022.

*If your child would like to enter and you are unable to print the form, please have your child come to the office where we will have a few extra copies available.
