IREAD CELEBRATION
HSE Schools had five schools recognized last month for achieving Indiana's literacy goal of 95% of third graders reading proficiently via passing IREAD-3. We are very proud of our students and staff at GES for having a 97.9% pass rate last year! Congratulations to the other district elementary schools: Cumberland Road, Fall Creek, Southeastern and Thorpe. The State invited principals to a Literacy Achievement Celebration last month to accept the award. Ours is already hanging on the wall by the library, so please check it out next time you are in the building. Thank you to Mr. Mapes for catering lunch to our GES staff today in honor of this great achievement. We also appreciate all the support from you at home as well. We are #StrongerTogether as we continue help our Gators grow academically, socially and emotionally this school year!
Have a safe and fun Fall Break with your families,
Dr. Therisa Seymour
