Must Reads Before the First Day

I know there is so much information coming to you from the school, your teachers, and probably your students right now. Here are some important items that you would want to know about prior to the first day of school. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

The school day officially starts at 7:40 each day. Our morning announcements will be starting at 7:35 this year. If your student(s) arrive after 7:40, you will need to park and sign them in.

• Submit proof of residency (Kindergarten and 2nd graders) either in Infinite Campus or send to school
• Join PTO
• Add money to your child's lunch account if they will be purchasing lunch
• Carpool Families - read traffic pattern information
• Sign up for your Infinite Campus account

Below you will find the information needed for purchasing meals in the cafeteria. Our cafeteria has many wonderful options for breakfast and/or lunch. There are also snacks sold periodically and ice cream on Fridays after the first month of school. If you have a student new to Spalding, you may not be able to set up online meal payments until after the first day of school when they have officially started. Help keep our Tigers safe! Since we only have one entrance and exit into our parking lot, we want to ensure the safety of our students while lessening traffic on our neighborhood streets. Please partner with us by following the procedures below:

• All cars will snake through the parking lot in both the morning and afternoon.
• AM drop off will begin at 7:20 AM, after buses have left. Please wait behind the cones.
• PM pick up will begin at 2:20 after all buses have left. Please wait behind the cones.
• During dismissal, only a right can be made into the parking lot.
• Display your car number prominently.
• Do not exit the vehicle in carpool at any time.
• Parking on Spalding Drive is not permitted. You may park in the lower lot if your child needs assistance. During dismissal, you may also get your child in the car rider line and pull below the gym to buckle them in before leaving Spalding.
• We encourage all eligible bus riders to ride the bus. Spalding Drive’s buses have a history of safety and are convenient.

We encourage students to ride the bus to and from school if one is available from your home. Please click on the link below to find your bus information so you can skip this step on Thursday!

All FCS families will need to create a portal account for their children. Here you will view report cards, see all attendance records, and sign off on important documents. Upon registration you should have received an activation email from Infinite Campus. If you did not receive the email, deleted it, or need to reset your password, you can find instructions on https://www.fultonschools.org/infinitecampus. You must know your child’s student ID. Most students know this to be their “lunch number.” If you cannot remember your portal account username, please do not create a new portal account. Please contact HaralsonB@fultonschools.org for your username.
