FFA Teams Traveling Near and Far
FFA students have been extra busy lately! Last weekend, Mrs. Schaefer traveled with 8 students to Rapid City for the State Leadership Event. Members of the Ag Communications and Ag Sales teams made a stop in Pierre to see the "Christmas at the Capitol" display of over 100 trees decorated by organizations from around the state before heading west to compete.
Sidney Johnson, Taylor Snaza, Beth Meyer and Kate Meyer received a Bronze award in the Ag Sales competition.
On Wednesday, 15 students traveled to Lake Area Technical College in Watertown to compete in the LATC Weld-off. Pictured is the final project made by each student. Congrats on a job well done!
Homework Help-Extra! Extra!
Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:20-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
Homework Help will be held both Tuesdays and Thursdays for the last two weeks of the semester!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Frederick!
Dual Credit Enrollment Open
Dual Credit Registration is open for all eligible juniors and seniors. Please see Mrs. Filipek for more information.
Dual credits are classes that earn students both high and college credits at the same time. The courses cost $50.84 per credit hour or around $152 for a three-credit course and that is paid for by the student. These classes are taken online during the student's school day and are a great way for motivated college/technical school-bound students to get ahead on some of the general electives they will need. Eligibility requirements can be found at: https://public.powerdms.com/SDRegents/tree/documents/1677947
