Harvest Happenings, vol 25

Week of February 3rd - February 7th
A NOTE FROM MS. SICKLER
LOTS of exciting things happening in February at Harvest!
- THIS THURSDAY - 100th Day of SCHOOL!!
- I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support as we celebrate our 100th day of school on Thursday! This milestone is a wonderful opportunity for our students to reflect on their learning and growth.
- Harvest Science Fair
- Register by February 17, 2025, to reserve your space. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Reeves (reevesm@salineschools.org).
- Harvest Little VictorThon
- Beginning Monday, February 10th, our students will come together to raise money and awareness for various Mott therapy programs that help patients share in unique experiences, grow their skills and confidence, and enhance their day-to-day lives. Over the course of two weeks, students will learn an exclusive Harvest Little VictorThon Line Dance during Physical Education class and customize their own Little VictorThon Superhero Cape during Art class. On Friday, February 21, we will don our capes to perform the line dance together and hold our MINUTE FOR MOTT fundraising bonanza – where we will donate as much cash, change, and checks as we can in just 60 seconds!
- Foundation for Saline Area Schools Beads & Beats Event
- FSAS is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for all students in the Saline Area School District by funding innovative programs, technology, and resources that aren’t covered by the traditional school budget. Over the years, their efforts have brought incredible benefits to our classrooms such as bringing Sphero robots to our Innovation labs for all students at Harvest to use and adding decodable texts to K-2 classrooms. One of FSAS's biggest events of the year is Beads & Beats: A Dueling Pianos Fundraiser, on Friday, February 28, at 7:00 PM at Travis Pointe Country Club. Even if you can’t attend the event, you can still participate by bidding on items in the silent auction. The auction features incredible prizes, including golf outings, camps, trips, Lunch with the Principal, student artwork and much more!! Proceeds from the auction will go toward funding programs that directly benefit our students here at Harvest and across the district. If you have any questions about FSAS or the event, visit SupportFSAS.org. Thank you for your ongoing support of our students, staff, and school community. Together, we can make a difference!

DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know every once in a while, a Harvest family needs just a little bit of extra help, like making sure their student has snacks? When that happens, we want to make it easy for other families to fulfill that need without knowing who the need is for. We use Hornets Helping Hornets to fulfill these needs.
Right now we could use SNACKS - ESPECIALLY GLUTEN-FREE SNACKS and WATER. Thank you for caring about our Saline Area Schools families! Questions? You can reach us at salinehornetshelpinghornets@gmail.com.
