Come and find out who is who at Central Gwinnett, what is a regular school day like, how does block scheduling work, tutoring and much more. There will be two separate dates. On Friday, January 10th at 10am, the presentation will be for English speakers and other languages (NOT Spanish). On Friday, January 17th at 10am, the presentation will be for Spanish Speakers only. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING AND THAT YOU ARE NEEDING TRANSLATION. THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT FORMS. (Links are attached and QR codes are on flyers)

On January 9th there will be an informational meeting for parents from 4:30 - to 6pm with regards to applying and getting Financial Aid for college. Come and find out all about it.

Informative session for students and parents about Dual Enrollment (taking classes in college for college credit) and Advanced Placement courses (courses offered at Central that allow for college credit) come and find out all about it on January 14th from 6pm - 7:30pm.

On January 31st, at 10am, Come and find out about our School of the Arts and College and Career Academy pathways. Central Gwinnett offers many arts classes such as; choir, dance, music tech, theatre. Also, there are 11 pathways available for our students. Come and find out before students start selecting their courses for next school year, what is available -- is your student interested in the ARMY, Audio - Visual Technology & Film, Law Enforcement -Criminal investigation, or Cybersecurity? These are only five of the 11 college and career pathways offered at Central. You need to be in the know! Come and find out!!

Suggest strategies to improve long-term memory

Several techniques can help students remember the material they study. Encourage your teen to study the material repeatedly over time. Your student can also summarize key concepts on an index card, tape it in a prominent place and review it often. Together, brainstorm ways to relate the material to things your teen already knows. Your student can also record the material and play it back, or turn the information into a song or rap

CENTRAL GWINNETT HIGH SCHOOL @cghs.knightnation

We are excited to welcome parents to the Central Gwinnett High School Parent Center. It is located next to the Student Support Center, across from the Front Office at the bus lane entrance of the school. The parent center is a place where parents can learn about curriculum, communicating with teachers, community resources and ways to support their children's learning. We look forward to meeting and building a partnership with all of our Central Gwinnett Parents.

School Board meetings typically are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. The School Board meets at the school system’s J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee. All meetings, except executive sessions, are open to the public and the news media.
