Start new habits by taking the screen-free challenge

Teens today spend hours a day on passive recreational screen time, often using multiple screens at a time. This time displaces creativity, productivity and physical activity. Next week is National Screen Free Week. It's a perfect time to break the habit. As a family, turn off your screens and make a list of activities to do instead. Don't worry if your teen complains about being bored. Boredom often leads to creative thinking!s.

We are excited to welcome parents to the Central Gwinnett High School Parent Center. It is located next to the Student Support Center, across from the Front Office at the bus lane entrance of the school. The parent center is a place where parents can learn about curriculum, communicating with teachers, community resources and ways to support their children's learning. We look forward to meeting and building a partnership with all of our Central Gwinnett Parents.

School Board meetings typically are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. The School Board meets at the school system’s J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee. All meetings, except executive sessions, are open to the public and the news media.
