Principals Message:
Dear Eagle Nation,
I’m writing to share some personal news: I have been selected and have accepted the position of Director of Human Resources for Centennial School District, beginning July 1, 2025. Serving as CHS Principal of Centennial High School has been the honor of a lifetime. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families and community. These nearly three years at CHS have been filled with growth, connection, and shared accomplishments that I will always cherish. Together, we’ve:
- Strengthened school climate and culture, even in the face of pandemic-related challenges
- Increased feelings of safety among students, staff, and families
- Reduced tardiness and absences, promoting stronger student engagement
- Expanded athletic success, with more teams advancing to playoffs
- Improved facilities, including upgrades to athletic areas and other learning spaces
- United as a school community through closures and unexpected hurdles—always putting students first
These accomplishments are a reflection of the strength, resilience, and collaboration that define CHS. I look forward to finishing the school year strong and supporting a smooth leadership transition. I’m excited to see Centennial High School continue to grow and thrive in the years to come.

CHS Attendance Corner
We are approaching the final Trimester of the school year, so here are some helpful reminders about the importance of each student getting to school each day:
Your children can suffer academically if they miss 10 percent of the school year or about 18 days. That can be just one day every two weeks, and that can happen before you know it.
Some absences are unavoidable. We understand that children will get sick and need to stay home occasionally. The important thing is to get your children to school as often as possible.
Sporadic absences, not just those on consecutive days of school, matter. Before you know it – just one or two days a month can add up to nearly 10 percent of the school year.
If too many absences occur, it is still a problem whether they are excused or unexcused because they represent too much lost learning time in the classroom.
Attendance matters as early as kindergarten. Studies show many children who miss too many days in kindergarten and first grade can struggle academically in later years. They often have trouble mastering reading by the end of third grade.
Get to know the teachers and administrators. With younger children, make sure you introduce your child to the teachers.
Before school starts, and keep in touch with the teachers. For older students, school officials can help you stay on top of academic progress and social contacts to make sure your child is staying on track.
Above all, set an example for your child. Show him or her that attendance matters to you and that you won’t allow an absence unless someone is truly sick. Avoid asking older students to help with daycare and household errands.
You can turn to the school for help. Many schools offer services for the whole family.

March's Student-Athletes of the Month
Congratulations to our CHS Student-Athletes of the Month! We are proud to recognize these outstanding athletes for their dedication, perseverance, and leadership both on and off the field.
Their commitment exemplifies CSD’s Strategic Plan – Roadmap '27, Goal #3: Centering Student Voice, Empowerment, & Leadership. Your hard work, passion, and sportsmanship inspire us all!
If you haven’t had a chance to watch a game, now is the perfect time to come out and cheer on our Eagles! Let’s show our support and Eagle pride!
CHS Counselor's Corner:
Message from CHS Counselors - Forecasting
The forecasting window has closed; however, counselors are still working on finalizing forecasting for the next year! If a student has missed their opportunity to forecast their classes for the next academic year, or if a student needs to change their forecasting selection for the next academic year, please stop by to make an appointment with your counselor after Spring Break.
We hope Spring Break proves to be a good reset for all students and offers an opportunity to rest, connect with others, or catch up on tasks!
