- Stay informed of important information and upcoming events through our social media at either Facebook or Instagram. Links can be found below.
- Daily Bell Schedule is from 8:10 am - 3:10 pm
- Students can enter the school starting at 7:40 am
- At 8:10 am students need a parent or guardian to check them in at the attendance window
- Items can be dropped off to the office for students until 8:30 am. After 8:30 am items will not be accepted (medication being an exception) in an effort to minimize disruptions to the instructional environment.
- After 2:40 pm students can not be checked out
- Students must be picked up by 3:30 pm
- FCA will meet on Wednesday mornings 7:20 am in room 705
- Parent conferences can be scheduled by the parent or teacher upon request. Please email the teacher to set up a parent conference.
- Hallway lockers are not used at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Gym lockers are used and will be purchased through the PE department.
- Policies and procedures for all middle school athletic events can be found above in an attachment. A parent or guardian is required for entrance to events.
The VMMS Student Handbook and the MCSD Student Handbook can be found above or on the Veterans Memorial Middle School website. The student handbook contains important information related to dress code, school rules, policies and procedures. We highly encourage families to review the student handbooks at home to gain a full understanding of our policies and procedures at Veterans Memorial Middle School and Muscogee County School District.

Congratulations to the VMMS Academic Bowl Team for finishing 3rd in the MCSD Page Bowl. The team qualified for regionals at Georgia Southwestern University. Great job Rangers!
Veterans Memorial received recognition from the Georgia Department of Education and State Superintendent Richard Woods for being a math leader school with our high school courses! This recognition is based on outstanding growth and achievement on the Georgia Milestones Assessment. Rangers Lead The Way in high school algebra!
Congratulations to Kinsley Brooks for being one of six middle school students to receive the REACH Scholarship! Kinsley will recieve a $10,000 scholarship to use at any eligible Georgia college or university! Way to go Kinsley! RLTW
Veterans Memorial's HOSA along with the American Red Cross hosted a blood drive where 37 individuals (staff and parents) donated blood. This will impact a total of 111 lives potentially. Thank you to Mrs. Kelly for organizing this amazing event! Rangers Lead The Way in health care science!

The Veterans Memorial Junior BETA Club chapter inducted 47 new members! Students must obtain an 88 academic average, demonstrate leadership qualities, have good attendance, and are of a servant mindset. Thank you to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hunt for serving as our Beta Club sponsors. Rangers Lead The Way!
Congratulations to Ameya Singh for winning the Veterans Memorial Spelling Bee! Ameya will represent VMMS in the Muscogee County School District Spelling Bee. Congratulations to Michael Cugino for being today’s runner up! Thank you to Mrs. Hill for organizing and planning a great spelling bee. A special thank you to Mrs. Nickie Tillery, Mrs. Marquette McKnight, and Mr. Terry Baker for serving as judges. Thank you to Mr. Jason Dennis for serving as our moderator.
Healthcare Science students recently visited Northside High School to audit the Biotechnology and Sports Medicine classes. They took part in hands-on labs and asked questions to help guide them in choosing their high school pathways. It was a valuable learning experience for all involved.
Congratulations to The Lady Rangers for completing an undefeated season and claiming the Muscogee County School District Championship! The Lady Rangers won every match and set throughout the regular season and playoffs to leave no doubt! A special congratulations to Coach Rodriguez for securing the first volleyball championship in VMMS history!
Students in Mr. Simpkin’s classes have been learning how to program robots and went through test runs on the outlined track. Also, students worked on using the 3D printer to print additional parts for their robots. Rangers Lead The Way in engineering and technology!
