October 28- 7:15pm @ L.C. Bird High School: Boy's Soccer Semi-Final Match (Cash only, $5 for adults and $3 for students)

October 30- 8th Grade Orchestra Fall Concert 6-8pm @ Midlothian High School

November 4- No School- Parent/Teacher Conference Day

November 5- No School- Election Day

The boys basketball season will run from November 6, 2024 through January 31, 2025.

Tryout Information:

First cuts (2:15-4:15): 8th grade: Wednesday, November 6

7th grade: Thursday, November 7

6th grade: Friday, November 8

Final cuts (2:15-4:15): Monday, November 11 for those who are invited back.

All athletes must have a completed VHSL physical and concussion form in order to try out. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Coach Costantino!

November 4, is our Parent Teacher Conference Day within CCPS schools. If you would like to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher at this time please reach out to them directly via email or their counselor. We will conduct conferences from 11-7pm on November 4, 2024.

Everyone within CCPS works to support students and help them grow into strong young people. When there is a problem, we want to connect with students and families to solve it. As we enter week two of the 2024-2025 school year, we want to be sure that families know what to do if you have a concern. Communicating to school staff members is the best way to start. Each month, to help recognize the game-changing work – inside and outside of schools – that our outstanding staff members do on a daily basis, the school division celebrates Team Chesterfield members who go above and beyond. Team Chesterfield's Game Changers are those who step up to meet the needs of our students; offer support and access to resources that assist their colleagues; provide an extra layer of support for families outside of the classroom; and who generally make a positive and sometimes life-changing difference in the lives of our students, families and their colleagues. Each month, the Superintendent chooses four staff members from each magisterial district to be recognized for outstanding service. One central office member monthly will be recognized as well.

We are one nine weeks into the school year at this time and wanted to re-share our bus expectations with families. We have seen an increase in student misbehavior as it relates to the bus. As a reminder, the day begins and ends (door to door) which includes the bus/bus stop for all students. When students are not following expectations they will receive appropriate disciplinary consequences. We want our students to be the Triple Crown: Accountable, Compassionate and Successful throughout their school day.

Coffee & Conversation is an easy way to connect with experts offering advice on topics helpful to parents. The free online gatherings take place 1-2 p.m. weekly. See the full schedule and register here for topics of your choice:
