Wow! A lot has changed since we last saw all our Warriors in our buildings. On Friday, March 13th we announced that we were closing our buildings and shifting to "extended eLearning" through Friday, April 3rd. Once that announcement was made our teachers and staff prepared a two week eLearning plan that extended through April 3rd. Since that announcement, the Governor has closed all school buildings well into the start of May. So what does that mean for Wes-Del Community Schools?
For the week of March 31st through April 3rd, we will continue to follow our initial plan we created for extended eLearning. This means that this week will consist of eLearning on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. These assignments will be review for our students, and will be similar to the assignments they received the week before spring break.
ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS FROM MARCH 16th TO APRIL 3RD ARE DUE ON MONDAY, APRIL 6 BY 9PM.
Beginning on Monday, April 6th, we will be following a new eLearning plan. This plan will be released later this week to students and parents. A lot of time and effort has gone into this plan to ensure that we are focused on three main priorities:
- Continuity of Education
- Food Service for Students
- Health and Safety of Students and Staff
This new plan will have a learning curve for all of us, but as long as we work together we can do anything! I know that there are many questions and concerns at this time. As we find the answers or information to those questions we will release them ASAP. Please be patient and understanding, this is still a very fluid situation that continues to change by the day. As the state gives us guidance, we will guide you. Remember we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! As our school song says, "Push Onward Warriors!
